This is us (Left: Dani, Joey Right: Sam, David) doing a Nerf Gun Stand Off. What are you waiting for! Lets find out what they are doing here at Fyreflyz! Meet the new faces of #HumansofFyreflyz Dani Joey Sam (intern) David We prepared a few questions about them to find out how they are adapting here at Fyreflyz! Let’s see what they say! What do you like about Fyreflyz? Dani: The refreshing environment that allows like-minded people to discover their creativity and passion in a supportive environment. via GIPHY David: Fyreflyz does not discriminate nor judge capabilities based on experience or qualifications. Your attitude determines the growth of your value and worth here. via GIPHY Joey: The working culture in Fyreflyz is the top of my liking list. Nothing beats a team with good chemistry and non-toxicated relationship! via GIPHY Sam: The amazing team that I am working with, I get to voice out my ideas and opinions without much judgement even if the question is dumb. They are very open to ideas and opinions. via GIPHY What are the 3 things you look forward to during your time at Fyreflyz? Dani: The team, the work & the food in the neighborhood! via GIPHY David: In no particular order of priority, a) the wholesome people I work with b) the delicious food around kampong glam c) the growth of the company and the team. via GIPHY Joey: My number 1 will be our weekly meeting as we get to brainstorm on projects together and maybe some updates on life. Number 2 will be my team as they brought me laughter and comfort when working. 3 will be the food as we are near Arab Street and around Kampong Glam. via GIPHY Sam: My biggest priority is the food here. Food is Life! I discovered a very delicious wonton mee, who knows what other delicious food I can find around this neighborhood throughout my internship. The next thing I am looking forward to is having more conversations with my colleagues. By having more conversations with my colleagues I can learn how to socialise with them and increase my confidence in speaking to other people as I am shy and conservative. I am also looking forward to the work that is assigned to me, so that I can have the experience of doing the work that was not taught in school. via GIPHY If you could be in any movie, what would it be and what character would you play? Why? Dani: Not a movie but I love crime documentaries and I’ve always been intrigued by the lead investigators, how they solve the crimes and how they ask the right questions to suspects to reveal what the detectives already could conclude from the crime! So I guess I’d love to be an investigator. via GIPHY David: I would love to play Sherlock Holmes, but a combination of the characterization by Robert Downey Jr. in the movie series and Benedict Cumberbatch in the british TV series. I have always been amazed by how the powers of observation and deduction, when applied masterfully, can result in unravelling even the most obscure of mysteries. I also admire how Sherlock skillfully manages his wealth of knowledge in his mind palace, his ability to apply the relevant knowledge to get out of tough situations, and to think on his feet to de-escalate tense situations. via GIPHY via GIPHY The multiverse is REAL! Who knows in another universe there are two Sherlock Holmes: Robert Downey and Benedict Cumberbatch. They would be working together to solve mysteries side by side! Joey: I would like to be Bella in Twilight as she has a choice of how / what she wants her life to be and have control over it. She is also unpredictable, not easy to read by people thus her abilities. via GIPHY Sam: I would play the character of Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders. Tommy Shelby to me is a very remarkable man. The way he controls his emotions when external things are breaking him is outstanding and his relationship to his brothers is unmatched. I would love to have his confidence and ability to remain calm when under loads of pressure. via GIPHY via GIPHY What are your quotes/what did you write on the "Wall of Wisdom" in Fyreflyz? Dani: I wrote a quote from a book I read from Seth Godin, “Marketing is the art of making change happen”.David: “Life is a journey. Consistency is the key to unlock its wonders.”Joey: “Don’t hesitate to ask or say. It’s now or never!”Sam: ‘Live in the present moment’. What are your favourite qualities of the team & the Fyreflyz culture? Dani: The essence of each individual’s personality and the unity our team has. Also, the daily banter.David: The culture of transparency and honesty in communication, whether in work or leisure. I also love how the team resonates with each other despite our individuality.Joey: The harmony we have despite our race and the ability to converse with one another.Sam: The open mindedness of the team allows me to speak up my ideas and opinions to share with the team. What is one piece of advice you would tell your future self? Dani: Always do things that your future self will thank you for! David: Your only competition is your future self. Keep challenging that person you aspire to be and you will eventually grow to be greater than what you thought you could be.Joey: Even if you don’t think for yourself, think or work hard for your family / someone important to you. Also, think about your future, how you want it to be like and work for it.Sam: Don’t compare yourself with other people, Only compare yourself with your yesterday self, have you done better/make progress than your yesterday self. That is more important. Be better everyday, no matter how small / slow progress just keep going. Archive Uncategorized
