Meet the new Intern of #HumanofFyreflyz

Intern Kris
Intern Casey

We prepared a few questions about them to find out how they are adapting to Internship at Fyreflyz! Let’s see what they say!

What are 3 things you look forward to during your Internship at Fyreflyz

Kris:

  • Working with new individuals is the first thing I am looking forward to in order to learn from them and develop skills that will be necessary in the future. I really appreciate the notion of learning from mentors and coworkers since it allows you to see the variety of personal abilities that each individual possesses. It also has a big influence if you have the chance to work under someone who possesses a specific set of skills that I would want myself to pick up while I’m here.
  • Additionally, I’m excited to have greater freedom to express myself, including the ability to share my personal thoughts on many topics including designs, trends, and other things. Along with pushing myself beyond of my comfort zone, my goals during the internship at Fyreflyz are to become more creative and capable of thinking beyond the box. In addition, I would adore to learn how to take the initiative to propose new ideas and offer assistance when needed, and to become more of a leader rather than a follower.
  • Finally, even though I’ve always been interested in marketing, I don’t really know what it means, so I hope to learn more about it during my internship in FyreFlyz. I’m looking forward to being able to learn more about marketing because I’ve always been curious about how marketing works and what goes behind the creative work of marketing teams.

Kris

Casey:

  • I look forward to learning more about work life and how I can adapt to it. Also to grow and embrace the challenges that I will face stepping out of my comfort zone. I want to improve my creativity and designing skills so that I can use it in the future in my other places in life.
  • I am also eager to work with the team learning how they communicate and work as one, as I feel it will help me to communicate with them easier and to be more comfortable. I would like to make use of this opportunity to build relationships and to learn more about communications
  • I am excited to learn more about myself and the team. I feel that this company is a good environment to learn and work on myself and my ideals.

What are the 3 things that you want to learn/gain during Internship at Fyreflyz?

Kris:

  • I would first like to understand more about what marketing is and what it really entails at Fyreflyz because a lot of people have misconceptions about it and what it entails. I would also like to learn more about the marketing creative process.
  • I wish to develop my interpersonal skills, such as my ability to speak more clearly in front of others and my willingness to be receptive to other people’s viewpoints.
  • In terms of coming up with fresh concepts and designing, I want to get better at being imaginative and adaptable.

Casey:

  • I would like to improve my communication skills and also to talk to people easier with this company as my stepping stone. I would also want to be able to talk and present my ideas properly without stuttering or stumbling my words.
  • I want to learn how to actively listen, express ideas clearly, share responsibilities, appreciate diverse perspectives, and foster a supportive environment for efficient problem-solving as a cohesive team
  • I’m eager to expand my creativity by actively exploring diverse techniques, experimenting with innovative concepts, and mastering the art of video design and editing.

What were the first 3 things that you thought of when you think of the word "intern"?

Kris:

  • When I heard the word “intern,” the first thing that sprang to mind was: “The hands-on experience an internship affords me is a fantastic learning opportunity that will help me acquire new skills for the future.” It’s exciting to consider the variety of things I could learn and the extent to which I could develop during the internship.
  • Secondly, the word intern instantly brought to mind the opportunity to polish soft skills like time management, communication, and professional manners that would be crucial in the future. Having the opportunity to learn more about the sector so that I can decide if I want to pursue this career path in the future.
  • The last thing that came to mind when I heard the word intern was how it would enable me to expand my portfolio and demonstrate my ability to perform tasks that are required of me when I apply for a job or a course that would be important to me in the future.

Casey:

  • The first thing that crosses my mind when I think of the word Intern is “Stress”. Although the word stress might sound bad I would think that it helps me to be more cautious and more precise in my work as I tend to do better when I am under pressure like for example I like to play chess, I tend to play better when I am under pressure.
  • The second thing that comes to mind is Opportunities that I can take advantage of which can then improve on myself. I think that the opportunities that are given to me I should take them seriously as they can benefit me in the long run, to take the opportunities to grow and learn.
  • Lastly, self-development is something that I think of when I think of Internship. To explore and to find out who I really am and what I want to do, what I am good at and what I am not good at. Gives me a chance to develop myself.
